You can customise how your inbox appears in Gmail and add in an email preview window onto your display.
To do this, simply go to Settings > Display and you can change how your inbox appears instantly.
This is a must have feature for those who want to have their calendar, tasks and notes lists nearby and easily accessible.
When you open your inbox, these icons will appear on the right-hand side of your display.
You also have the option to add in more features from the Google Play store.
Gmail gives you the ability to snooze your emails (just like hitting the snooze button on your alarm clock or phone).
This is as easy as right-clicking on the email, and selecting snooze.
It will ask you for a later date and time for you to receive the email.
You can perform this task for a single email or multiple emails at once.
PS – to find emails that you have snoozed, go to your menu on the left-hand side of your display and one of the options underneath “Inbox” will be “Snoozed”.
When using Gmail, there is a great feature called nudging.
Gmail will prompt or nudge you if you have not replied to an email within a certain period of time.
This also works for sent messages – it will let you know if you have not received a response as yet.
No time to think when responding to emails? That is okay.
Gmail will give you three different suggestions that you can use in your email when you hit REPLY.
You will then have the ability to edit and amend as required.
Gmail now gives you options to organise and sort your inbox when you hover over the email.
Choose from actions including Delete, Archive, Move as examples.
It will also allow you to accept and decline calendar invitations using the hover action.
