How do you make your dreams come true in business in 2020?
But speak to any successful business owner, and the secret to their success has not come from a dream.
It has come from a lot of hard work, time and effort.
And by setting goals.
A dream can really be classified as a really, really big goal.
By creating a set of smaller goals, all focused on achieving the big goal = your dream.
In order to achieve your smaller goals, you need to ensure that you follow the S.M.A.R.T method.
Your goals should be
Specific
Measurable
Accountable
Realistic
Time-Bound
You can check out my previous blog post about goal-setting, to get you started.
Once you have your goals, you have something to aim for. Your dream.
Everyone has exactly the same amount of time.
We all have the same 24 hours in a day.
It is what you do with your time that makes all the difference.
Time needs to be carved out to spend focused on your goals, in order to achieve your dreams.
The people that do this, are the ones who will succeed.
Setting yourself up with a routine, where you have planned time to work on your business, to exercise and to spend time with family is extremely important.
Our emotions play a role in driving our behaviours.
Passion, pain, happiness, anger…all emotions that drive us.
And our motivations.
If something causes an emotion in you, you either do more of it or you change things to make the emotion go away.
How does your business affect your emotions?
What emotions do you feel about your business? And when you work on your business?
Using these emotions in a positive way – no matter what they are – can help you focus on making your business dream a reality.
Ask any successful entrepreneur and they will talk about the huge learning curve they have undertaken to get to where they are today.
You will need to learn new things to get to the next level.
It doesn’t matter how you learn.
Just start doing it!
Reading a book.
Listening to a podcast.
Find a mentor.
Network with like-minded people. And with non like-minded people.
You will need to make time to do this.
See point 2 and the below point.
Last but not least, you need to make the commitment to your business.
Your time and your blood, sweat and tears will all be needed to help you become laser-focused on achieving your dreams this yet.
You need to commit the time.
You need to commit the energy
And last but not least, you need to commit the passion.
Do all this, and you are well on your way to having a formula as to how to make your dreams come true in 2020 for your business.
